I remember when I was in elementary and middle school. There wasn't a day that would go by that I wouldn’t look forward to my senior year and finally graduating. Well senior year has finally arrived. Senior year is one of those bittersweet moments because it’s the start of a new chapter in life, but also a reminder that we will soon all be going our own ways for college or work. Some of us are even moving far away from our loved ones and friends that we now consider more like family. We all have created this special bond with one another that no one would understand and realizing that we won’t see each other anymore or as often as we use to is heartbreaking. This year is one of the most stressing, but yet one of the funnest years of high school. I’m really looking forward to all the senior activities such as rallies, senior sunrise and sunset, senior pictures, and especially grad night. You must stay on pace and meet certain requirements in order to graduate. High school is a lot of work and a bit stressful trying to stay on pace on all 7 classes. Freshmen year was the easiest year for me because we didn’t have as much requirements as senior year does. However, at the end all that hard work pays off. I’m going to try my hardest this year so I can graduate with a GPA of 4.0 or better. My current GPA is a 3.8 and I understand that I have to stay focused all year round and work on as many level 4’s that I could possibly do. For me, it’s very important to graduate with a 4.0 or better because I want my family to be proud of me and I would like to get into a good university. Another reason is because I was being bullied my freshmen and sophomore years. There was a group of boys calling me rude names and made me feel uncomfortable. By achieving this goal of mine, I will be able to prove them wrong and show them that I’m better and smarter than they thought. Although I had some bad times here at lhs, I also had some very pleasant ones. High school has not only educated us, but also has prepared us for life. It’s sad to think that we have made so many memories that will be now nothing more than that, memories. I will miss the staff members, rallies, but overall the wonderful people I could call my friends. Theses past three years been the best. They don’t lie when they say time flies by. I remember my freshmen year like it was just yesterday, feeling lost when looking for my classes, entering the wrong class, and the excitement during my first rally. I will cherish all these memories and start my journey to create new ones. Our future is right around the corner, but for now, I will enjoy and make the best of my senior year.
